And we have a packed weekend ready for you!
Please download the full schedule here.
You can join us in-person or online (or both if you fancy), with tickets going live on our online shop on Saturday 2nd April (link below).
To access most of our in-museum events, you just need to buy a Cardiff Castle ticket (or be a Cardiff Castle keyholder). The only exception to this is the chainmail making session – for this we are asking for just £3 extra donation to cover the cost of materials.
Tickets to the marketing suite events are charged individually and separately to anything else.
For the online lectures, you can either buy a ticket to cover all the Saturday talks, a ticket to cover all the Sunday talks, or a ticket at a bargain-price to cover both days.
Finally, the online children’s event in the mornings costs just £2 for both days and is charged separately to the other online events. (Keep your eyes peeled for a free taster session coming on the 9th April!)
Welcome to Firing Line
Museum of 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards and The Royal Welsh
Firing Line Museum is an accredited museum that celebrates the Welsh soldier over a period of 300 years; a time which saw ordinary Welshmen travel the world, carrying out military service at battles such as Waterloo (1815) and Rorke’s Drift (1879), and more recently in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Using hands-on and dressing up activities, informative permanent and temporary displays and educational events, the museum stands as a testament to the extraordinary contributions made by ordinary Welshmen to their Regiments (1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards and The Royal Welsh), to history and to Wales.
